A two day National Conference on PARADIGM SHIFT IN MANAGEMENT PRACTICES FOR FOSTERING EXCELLENCE held at New Delhi Institute of Management held. More than 40 research papers were presented and a book on the topic was inaugurated by the chairperson, together with Ambassador Augusto Montiel, Embassy of Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela , Mr. Rajiv Yadav, IAS, Chairman, Mr. S. Rajagopalan, Chairman, Public Relations Society of India, Mr. Vijay Kumar, Director, MSME, Mr. Anil Khaitan, Former President, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, . Dr. Chandan Mitra, MD, Editor in Chief, Pioneer, Ms. Veena Swarup, Ex-Director (HR), Engineers India Limited, Dr.) Dilip Kumar Bandopadyay, Former VC, GGSIPU, Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Mittal, Professor, USMS-IP, and . Balmiki Prasad, Director, Freedom Fighters and Rehabilitation Ministry of Home Affairs, GOI.
Day one started with the address of Ms. Bindu Kumar, Chairperson, Ndim and Dr. Gitanjali Bhatnagar , Principal Ndim along with the senior dignitaries from academia, bureaucracy, corporate along with the media persons. The Chief Guest of this event added to the glory of this conference, His Excellency Ambassador Augusto Montiel, Embassy of Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela has emphasized on developing the relationship between India & Venezuela and also highlighted how countries can attain excellence by having a cordial relationship. Mr. Rajiv Yadav, IAS, Chairman, Brahmaputra Board, Secretary, Parliamentary Affairs, GOI. highlighted the importance of leadership and uniqueness in attaining business excellence. Mr. S. Rajagopalan, Chairman, Public Relations Society of India shared his views on artificial intelligence and connected the same to the theme of the conference. Mr. Vijay Kumar, Director, MSME discussed the innovative ways with the help of which excellence can be attained and incorporated in business and management. Mr. Anil Khaitan, Former President, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Chairman, Sunil Healthcare Ltd. discussed the importance of change management and innovative practices in attaining business excellence. Dr. Chandan Mitra, MD, Editor in Chief, Pioneer has talked about the emerging tools of social media in management excellence. Ms. Veena Swarup, Ex-Director (HR), Engineers India Limited highlighted the role and importance of value- based ethical decision making in attaining excellence. Prof. (Dr.) Dilip Kumar Bandopadyay, Former VC, GGSIPU mentioned that education is nothing but a change in mindset. Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Mittal, Professor, USMS-IP University shared from his experiences the art to establish a better relationship and how it can be used effectively to attain excellence. Dr. Balmiki Prasad, Director, Freedom Fighters and Rehabilitation Ministry of Home Affairs, GOI has also shared his view on the topic.
The day continued with the two technical sessions. Technical session A was about Innovative HR Practices to Foster Excellence in Business. The session was paneled by Dr. Malay Neerav, Joint Dean, Student Welfare and Media Coordinator, DU, Dr. R Hemalatha, Professor, NDIM, and Dr. Nitin Malik Joint registrar IPU. The convener of session Mr. Ashok Kumar Asthana makes the smooth flow of the session. Various papers were presented during the session.
The session was then followed by technical session B with the efficiently convey by Dr. Saad Bin Azhar. The panelist of session was Dr. AlkaMaurya, HODInternational Business, Amity University. Papers presented in the session through the light on various facets of marketing.
Day 2 was started with the technical session C was Based on Financial Strategies for Sustainability and Business Excellence. Panelist of the session was Mr. Praveen Malhotra, GM,Genpact and Mr. Rohit Jain Director M&A Lodha & Company. Varied area of Finance was discussed in the session.
The session was followed by another technical session D on Highlighted about Information Technology as a Sustainable Tool to Attain Business Innovations. Panelist of the session was Prof. (Dr.) SaritaKaushik, HOD DAVIM College, and Faridabad, Mr. Atul kaushik Production Head Apatra Corporation, Ms. Neha Duggal Senior Manager Microsoft Support Service and Ms. Parul Ahlawat senior IT Consultant Tata Consultancy Services New York. Post lunch there was a valedictory session with eminent persons from academia and Industry. The chief guest of the session was Prof (Dr) R. K. Mittal Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Ch. Bansi Lal University. He talked about knowledge creation and management for fostering excellence through conviction. Dr. Raj Agarwal Director-CME, AIMA shared the new spectrum of management and how the way of managing is gaining importance and changing with time. Mr. Rana Yashwant, Managing Editor India News, talked on grabbing and focuses on useful information and information due to interest. He said for attaining excellence in life it is important to have a clear understanding of obtaining the right kind of news. Prof. Vandana Kapoor Principal DAV talked about the management starts from school and how students can be trained to be responsible citizens. Ms. Swati Maliwal Chairperson Delhi Commission for women. She addressed the issue of increasing crime against women and even a small child. She guided about the measures an individual can take to remove these crimes without being an activist. Mr. Bhagat DG Railway Police Force, added to the issues raised by Ms. Swati Maliwal and shared his experience on managing the work in the different and difficult situations.
